Reinhard Flatischler is the founder of the TaKeTiNa rhythm process, which was developed in 1970 and is used in education, therapy and performance worldwide.

He is also the founder of the legendary MegaDrums group, in which he composed for and performed with some of the best musicians of our time, such as Zakir Hussain, Airto Moreira, Glen Velez, Leonard Eto (KODO), Samulnori and Milton Cardona, to name just a few.

In collaboration with Johnny Bertl, Flatischler has created TAKETINA SYMPHONIC – a new style of orchestral music. The compositions are based on the TaKeTiNa method. Complex polyrhythms merge with grand melodies and stunning percussion sounds.

Bridging domains…

Flatischler’s unique work bridges the domains of performance, education, therapy, coaching, high-end performance and meditation practices. With his compositions and his educational approach, Flatischler has fundamentally influenced the European drums and percussion scene.

The media repeatedly describes him as the “ambassador of the global language of rhythm.” Flatischlers CDs and books (e. g. Rhythm for Evolution, Schott) won several awards and are regarded as standard music literature.
